Works, but low quality September 5, 2010 Rob (Wyandotte, MI United States) The cable works, but the RCA connectors are poor quality. Usually a female RCA connector will fit snugly over its male counterpart, but the fit on these was very loose. They are a solid circle, without the usual split that allows it to be a little small, but expand when connecting. I had to use a pair of pliers to make a little crimp to get them to fit snugly.
Did not work. September 4, 2010 Mark Montgomery Simply did not work. I have a fairly new hi-def widescreen LG LCD TV. Video appeared momentarily, flickered in and out, then went blank. Tried changing the resolution setting in the Wii setup menu to hi-def while video was showing, and that just made it go blank permanently. Got a replacement, same result. Returned for refund.
Poorly build product; Front page reviews on this product are fake August 31, 2010 DJ Parkster (Pullman, WA USA) Avoid this at all costs. Go and spend the money to get something else. I have tested between 3 different cable sets from this company on and 5 different tv's and on 2 different wii's; with all cables requiring rma's as when plugged in provided horrid old scanning lines over top of the picture both in the wii menus and in games. These scanning lines seemed to resemble the same error you would receive from old radio/antenna waves, which will horridly distract you when playing.
Cant beat the price. Great, cheap upgrade cable. August 31, 2010 E. Gonzalez (San Antonio, Texas USA) Cable worked great. Made a good difference in picture quality. For the people that had the problem with the vertical, fuzzy lines going across the screen, I had the same problem. In my case, the problem was caused by my USB device. When disconnected, the lines went away. To further diagnose the problem, I even checked with the standard cables. The problem is still there but not very noticeable. Guess it is interference within the Nintendo Wii itself.
